The Many Ways Invisalign Improves Smiles

From a tooth or two out of alignment with the rest, to a mouth full of teeth that are all improperly aligned – there are a lot of use cases for invisible aligners trays like Invisalign ®. Whether your teeth alignment issues are minor or major, invisible aligners offer a discreet path to straighter teeth. Take a look at some of the many use cases for invisible aligners and learn how they can allow you to straighten your teeth efficiently, without letting the rest of the world know about your orthodontic efforts.

How Invisalign Works

They work on the concept that braces are based on. By placing a gentle, yet constant force on the teeth, the teeth will move into their optimal alignment overtime. While braces use brackets and archwire to push teeth into alignment, Invisalign uses plastic aligner trays. The aligner trays are custom made to fit snuggly on the teeth and they’re designed to push on only the teeth that need to be straightened.

Unlike metal braces, invisible aligners are completely clear. The combination of their form-fitting form factor and clear material, Invisalign aligners are almost invisible when worn on the teeth. So if you’ve had concerns about feeling confident wearing metal braces, Invisalign allows you to straighten your teeth without the rest of the world knowing.

You can also remove your invisible aligners anytime you want to – though you’ll need to wear them at 22 hours out of every day in order to keep your treatment on schedule.

What Invisalign Solves

Invisible aligners can treat many different alignment issues, including the following:

·         Crowding – when there isn’t enough space between teeth, the teeth tend to turn, jut out or fall inward

·         Gaps – there’s too much space between the teeth

·         Overbites – the top teeth jut out farther than the teeth on the bottom

·         Underbites – the bottom teeth jut out farther than the top teeth

·         Crossbites – a combination of an underbite and a crossbite

·         and more
